Board mode and focus mode

Switch between the board-level canvas view and focused editing for a single node.

Before you start

  • An open board with at least one node.

Board mode

Board mode is the default view. You see the full infinite canvas with all your nodes — images, videos, animations, and frames. This is where you arrange work, select nodes, and give the agent instructions that can span multiple nodes.

Entering focus mode

Focus mode zooms into a single node for detailed editing. To enter it:

  • Double-click a node, or
  • click Edit on the node's context toolbar.

In focus mode the agent treats the focused node as its primary reference — responses and work are scoped to that node.

Design mode

Design mode is the default within focus mode. It focuses on static editing and gives you access to:

  • Layers — view and manage the layers inside a frame.
  • Typography tool — edit text layers directly.

More design tools are being added over time.

Motion mode

Switch to motion mode when working with animation or video. It gives you access to:

  • Timeline — sequence and time your animation keyframes or video layers.
  • Playback controls — preview the animation or video directly.

Returning to the board

To leave focus mode and return to the board:

  • Click the back button, or
  • press Esc.

Tips

  • Use board mode for arranging and comparing work across your canvas. Use focus mode when you need to edit a specific node in detail.
  • In focus mode the agent automatically scopes to the focused node — you don't need to select it first.
  • Switch between design mode and motion mode depending on whether you're working on static visuals or animation.
